Automation Engineering
Corporation was presented with the prestigious Silver Crescent
Award for Manufacturing Excellence. Recipients were chosen
from a statewide slate of nominees. Automation Engineering won
the small business category for of the Silver Crescent Award.
The award was presented to Automation Engineering based upon
their economic impact, commitment to the workforce, and
involvement and contributions to the community.

Automation Engineering has long understood that our success is
directly linked to the success of our Customers, our workforce
and the community in the State of South Carolina.
Manufacturing is the backbone of the South Carolina economy
and to be recognized for our contributions to the state and
for our manufacturing excellence is a great honor,” said Gary
Foster, President of Automation Engineering.
The Silver Crescent Award for Manufacturing Excellence was
established in 2002 to recognize outstanding manufacturers in
the state. Previous award winners have been Fuji film and
BorgWarner Torq Transfer in 2004, South Carolina Sonoco and
ISO Poly Films in 2003, and US Engine Valve in 2002. Nominees
this year included Timken, BMW, TYCO Electronics, Industrial
Tool and Machine, and many others. Winners other than
Automation Engineering included Roche Carolina in the medium
size category and BD Diagnostics in the large category.
