• Extensive preliminary engineering to fully understand the issues involved and to reduce the amount of surprises found later in the project. AEC feels that you cannot solve a problem or fill a need that you do not understand, and that is the best reason to have preliminary engineering.
• Close communication with customer’s management, engineers, maintenance technicians, operators, and all other affected parties. This allows us to become part of the team, to find and implement the best solution.

Complete documentation is the key to all future maintenance, upgrades, and work on the machine.

Planning is the key to any successful project. This is even more relevant when the project includes installation. Our customers require new machinery installed as quickly as possible to minimize down time. Our engineers plan far in advance of any installation work to make sure all of the kinks are worked out before work occurs on site. Sometimes this means planning a full installation shutdown to the minute, because when every minute means lost production time for the customer, minutes count.

Automation Engineering Corporation has provided factory automation and control system engineering services to industrial clients for over twenty years. AEC is an employee owned corporation that was founded in Gaffney, South Carolina, in 1981 and relocated to Greenville, South Carolina, in 1988. Automation Engineering's staff includes twenty-two engineers with degrees in electrical engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, physical chemistry, and computer science. Five of our engineers are Registered Professional Engineers. Four engineers have advanced engineering degrees, including one PhD. AEC staff also includes a full-time office manager, purchasing manager, shop manager, and sales manager. Our panel shop has a full-time staff of sixteen skilled panel fabricators and electricians. AEC is ISO 9001-2000 certified for design operations.
