When you go to a new car dealership to buy a new car,
the dealer wants to sell you a car of their manufacture.
That is the only way they get paid for their effort. They
must sell you a model from their inventory if they are
to succeed.
When you go to an automobile broker, the broker is paid
to find you a car. If the broker cannot find a car that
meets your complete requirements, you do not buy the car.
The broker earns her money on your satisfaction. This is
a lot like shopping for engineering services.
The major automation manufacturers and a great many distributors
offer system integration services. These are usually great
sales or distribution organizations. However, since we
are all highly specialized in the world today, it follows
that they may not provide engineering at the same level
of excellence as their core competency. These organizations
can only offer you what they sell for two reasons: this
is what they know, and this is how they succeed.
As an independent System Integrator,
we can succeed only when the customer succeeds. We will
bring to the table automation (if appropriate) or whatever
technology is required to make you successful and make
your project successful. We can mix and match from the “Best in Class” of
each different area of the technology. We have experience
with a broad range of controllers, devices, drives, and
instruments. We understand how the different pieces fit
together and communicate.
